Surah Al Naml 40 : And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for (the good of) his ownself, and whoever is ungrateful, (he is ungrateful only

Al-Naml

One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: "I will bring it to you within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when he [Sulaimân (Solomon)] saw it placed before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord - to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for (the good of) his ownself, and whoever is ungrateful, (he is ungrateful only for the loss of his ownself). Certainly! my Lord is Rich (Free of all wants), Bountiful." (40)

Al-Naml

Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the grace of my Lord!― to test me whether I am grateful, or ungrateful! And if any is grateful truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of All Needs, Supreme in Honour!" (40)

LES FOURMIS

Quelqu’un qui avait une connaissance du Livre dit: «Je te l’apporterai avant que tu n’aies cligné de l’œil». Quand ensuite, Salomon a vu le trône installé auprès de lui, il dit: «Cela est de la grâce de mon Seigneur, pour m’éprouver si je suis reconnaissant ou si je suis ingrat. Quiconque est reconnaissant c’est dans son propre intérêt qu’il le fait, et quiconque est ingrat... alors mon Seigneur Se suffit à Lui-même et Il est Généreux». (40)

Al-Naml

Berkata pula seorang yang mempunyai ilmu pengetahuan dari Kitab Allah: Aku akan membawakannya kepadamu dalam sekelip mata! Setelah Nabi Sulaiman melihat singgahsana itu terletak di sisinya, berkatalah dia: Ini ialah dari limpah kurnia Tuhanku, untuk mengujiku adakah aku bersyukur atau aku tidak mengenangkan nikmat pemberianNya dan (sebenarnya) sesiapa yang bersyukur maka faedah syukurnya itu hanyalah terpulang kepada dirinya sendiri dan sesiapa yang tidak bersyukur (maka tidaklah menjadi hal kepada Allah), kerana sesungguhnya Tuhanku Maha Kaya, lagi Maha Pemurah. (40)

SEMUT

Berkatalah seorang yang mempunyai ilmu dari Al Kitab: [1] "Aku akan membawa singgasana itu kepadamu sebelum matamu berkedip". Maka tatkala Sulaiman melihat singgasana itu terletak di hadapannya, iapun berkata: "Ini termasuk karunia Tuhanku untuk mencoba aku apakah aku bersyukur atau mengingkari [akan ni’mat-Nya]. Dan barangsiapa yang bersyukur maka sesungguhnya dia bersyukur untuk [kebaikan] dirinya sendiri dan barangsiapa yang ingkar, maka sesungguhnya Tuhanku Maha Kaya lagi Maha Mulia". (40)
